Here I am doing my first official blog post. Let's hope I look back on my life in 100 years from my vintage space suit and laugh about how witty and wonderful I was. Probably.
I'm not feeling the return to college. Yes, I had an extra week but it was spent dying and lounging like a consumptive and crying so nothing productive was done. I'm pretending/praying all work will have been forgotten about. I'm still semi deaf so I didn't hear. Now I will jump on the revision train for mocks next week. I do not have high hopes.
Yesterday was grandad's birthday and I baked a cake. Springform cake pans are the work of Jesus and I will not be convinced otherwise.
The cake is not beautiful but it is glittery and delicious and that is all that matters if we're being honest.
It was quite a spendy week. Charity shops are becoming unreliable but I managed 3 books. I also managed a handful of dresses, one of which is so glorious (and embarrassing to everyone I love) that it deserves it's own post. As usual Vintage Village
was amazing and I feel I exercised restraint.
The 60s brush set in original box is far too pretty to take out and let loose into my room but I'll find somewhere. I am in love with this Kinky Melon hat, modelled professionally at the bus stop here ft. mysterious disappearing top lip
And finally I got a piece of Fornasetti. It's a vintage swatch watch but it still definitely counts. It's not quite a £400 candle from Harrods but it's near enough. I've decided I can definitely make my own pieces through the medium of decoupage after storming out of Harrods in horror, cursing the capitalists and frankly quite disgusted by women in the toilets needing the attendant to flush and wash their hands for them. I did take advantage of toilet perfume though, that was quite fancy.
